Writing For Happiness

So since I've been in a mood-slump lately (partially explaining, but in no way excusing, my long absence), I decided to start my own Happiness Project. I don't want to get into it too much at this point, but one of my goals/plans for the Project is to recreationally (no work, no forums, no emails) write at least one paragraph daily. This counts!

Does forcing yourself to write increase your happiness, or just increase your stress? Or both?!

  1. Both. Somedays, I'm in the right mood to write, so if I don't, I get irritable. Other times, I don't want to write, but I know if I don't, I'll have to bump up my quota for the next day--which usually doesn't work out in my favor.

In the long run, though, I find when I write regularly--not necessarily every day, but regularly--it makes me happier, not more stressed. That may be just me, though.
